In this blog post, I will show you how to forward all of your Google account emails so they are sent directly to your Outlook email address. This may be helpful if you use Outlook more – if not, I do suggest giving Gmail a go.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE ON FORWARDING YOUR EMAILS FROM GOOGLE MAIL TO OUTLOOK
Your email is the first thing you open at work and the last thing you close: you have to use the one that is right for you. If your workplace has gone Google and you’re still Microsoft, there is no worry – forward all of your Google emails to your Outlook email account to stop missing vital emails!
STEP 1: ACCESSING GOOGLE MAIL
You can access Google Mail by using Google Search
STEP 2: GO TO YOUR SETTINGS
Your settings are hidden in the Settings cog to the right of your emails. Click on the cog, then select settings.
STEP 3: FORWARDING
Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP
Select ‘Add a Forwarding address’ – type in your Outlook email account (for BCoT Staff, use your firstname.lastname@bcot.ac.uk account), proceed through and click on ‘Forward a copy of incoming mail to…’ to confirm
Finally, press save changes!
Your emails will now be forwarded to your Outlook account. If you need any help with this, you can email me here (BCoT staff here) or tweet me @CharlieLecuyer9 – Thank you for reading!
