User Interface Design

 The game will feature a system where the pendant around the players’ neck will make the health of the player clear. This will occur throughout the game but when the pendant breaks at the end, a new life gauge will appear and will include three life bubbles and will empty in quarters, giving the player nine lives. 

The pause menu will feature a return button which returns to the main screen; a favours tab for when the characters offer favours and whether or not the character has completed these; a statistics and advice tab which will show the players progression and any key advice (including riddles) the character has heard; an options menu which includes the brightness, sounds, camera, save and graphics; finally, an exit button at the bottom which will move the player back to the title screen (the exit screen will not offer a save option).Β
